Hot Wheels 2023 Q Case Review

The 2023 Hot Wheels Q case is in and we have a quick review for you guys.

  • Starting off,  we have a ’69 Ford Mustang Boss 302 with a Falken livery. This car looks great and the chrome base is a nice touch. The rims look really good on this car and it matches well with its ’07 counterpart from earlier this year. We don’t get full headlight or taillight tampos, but for a rendition of a drift car it makes sense. I also like the choice to only leave the drivers seat in the car.
  • Next up is the treasure hunt for this case. The Volkswagen ‘Baja Bug’ is an awesome take on the classic bug. These types of cars always look good with a tan base to match the dirty wheels. The car also features an orange treasure hunt symbol next to the window. The yellow interior and exhaust are interesting, but my favorite addition is the translucent gas can stored on the top of the car. All the small details add up to a pretty good treasure hunt.
  • Your Super Treasure Hunt for this case is the Volvo 240 Drift Wagon. This car has a lot going on but not many changes for the super version. The Super will have green Spectraflame paint, a slightly different front rim, a license plate that reads ‘SUPERTH’ instead of ‘SLAMMED’, and the treasure hunt symbol on the front quarter panel. I think keeping matching rims on this car would’ve been better than mismatching them. The black rims with blue outline match well with the blue tint given to the windows and headlights of this car. The Yokohama decal and side exhaust are very nice and the cut in the hood adds some extra character to the car. By far my favorite part of this casting that may be missed is the 2 pups located in the backseat of the vehicle.
  • Next, we have a Classic ’55 Nomad in a maroon paint with some orange pinstriping throughout. Once again we don’t have headlight or taillight decals, but the car has a few other details to make up for it. The pink tinted windows on this work really well to tie the car together. The mismatched tire sizes give this car a very nice drag look and the chrome base is also a nice touch.
  • Finally, we have a car that will probably be sought after by many collectors. The Tooned Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 (964) is a great addition to the Tooned lineup. This car is complete with full front and rear light decals that help make the car look more real than its Tooned proportions do. A ‘964 TURBO’ license plate, small Porsche emblem on the hood, and Porsche stamped across the rear taillight are some of the awesome details that help this tiny car pack a punch!

The Q case has some heavy hitters for highlights, but there are also some gems that are perhaps less high profile.

  • The Land Rover Series II looks like a war vehicle at first glance, but further inspection shows a different story. The car boasts a ‘Coolnvintage’ decal on the rear quarter panel which may not mean much initially. However, Coolnvintage is a company that works to restore land rovers by paying attention to the smallest of details. That small decal helps give this Land Rover a story. Other decals on the vehicle include BF Goodrich, Clone, and Campbell. The metal base of the car is also another small detail that we enjoy. Our favorite part of this car is the Land Rover branded surfboard that you’ll miss if you don’t look at the car from above.
  • Next up we have a recolor of the 1986 Toyota Van and this one is just as 80’s as the last. Something about the tritone stripes down the side of this van make it scream 1980’s Dad van. The Maroon paint on this van is a slight change of pace but overall keeps the 80’s vibe going.
  • A recolor of the 1956 Corvette featured in the Barbie movie makes it way to the Q Case. The pink version of this car did well and we expect the same from this baby blue variant. The car keeps some small details on the headlights and a license plate that features the ‘Barbie’ logo from the movie. The paint on this car is really what sells it. It almost looks like it could be a Corvette done by Tiffany & Co with their trademark Tiffany Blue.
  • The ’64 Lincoln Continental comes through the Q case with a purple and gold colorway. The pink and off purple striping along the side give this car some character but the gold base is really the biggest addition. Maybe it’s too much for some but we think it works. The gold accents on this car really help tie the whole look together.
  • Lastly, we have a recolor of the Alfa Romeo GTV6 3.0. Like the red version before it this car sports a ton of tampos. From the Alfa Romeo branding, Quadrifoglio Shamrock, and overall race aesthetic, this car looks great. We expect this car to do just as well as its predecessor.

From an investment stand point these are the cars to look for :

  • The Volvo 240 Drift Wagon Super will be a great find although it wont be the most expensive super of the year. Expect to see this car around the $50-60 mark. The regular version will still be a good pick up and will sell for  few extra dollars or make good trade bait.
  • The Tooned Porsche will do well but perhaps not as well as the Supra from before. Expect a few extra dollars in return for this casting.
  • Finally, I would look for the Mustang Boss 302 casting to bring some decent returns as the Falken livery really puts this car above some of the others.

Hot Wheels 2023 P Case Review

The Hot Wheels 2023 P case is in and brings with it some new colors and styles that fans will enjoy. Lets go through some of the highlights:

  • The 82′ Cadillac Seville is back but this time in a two tone blue colorway. We really enjoyed this casting in previous cases. While this color isn’t as simple and classy the pop of blue makes the car stand out from the crowd.
  • Your regular Treasure Hunt for this case is the 2020 RAM Rebel. This is not a casting we see often but typically doesn’t stay on pegs long. The Coast Patrol graphics and vibrant red and yellow paint make this truck an excellent addition to the HW Rescue line.
  • Your potential Super Treasure Hunt for the P case is the Datsun Bluebird 510 Wagon. The regular version pictured comes in a purple paint scheme with hits of white throughout. The Super version will come in Spectraflame Magenta paint and maintain the white graphics throughout. Another notable change, the Super variant of this car gives us white rims with a pink outline that make the car reminiscent of some original Red Line cars.
  • The Jeep Scrambler comes in a tan base with similar colored tires. The addition of some small sand decals and the number 083 decal make this car look like its come right out of a Baja competition.
  • Finally, the Ford F-150 Lightning Custom comes through with its massive front splitter and chrome accents. The lowered stance and roof scoop on the truck add to this trucks high-speed theme. The only thing we aren’t sure of is the all chrome interior that is visible through the completely clear windows.

Rounding up the P case are a few recolors of some cool cars

  • The Subaru WRX STI makes a return in a dark grey paint with a mint graphic down the side. The gold rims help to tie this car together.
  • The ’92 Dodge Viper RT/10 shows up in an all red paint scheme that is a classic look on this car. The decision the leave off the roof on this car helps give the car some nice summer vibes.
  • The new Tesla Roadster hits the stage in a bright orange paint that compliments its “Then and Now” counterpart from previous cases.
  • The new colorway of the Hummer EV takes “going green” to the next level. The all green paint scheme on this monster makes us think of “The Hulk”. The color is a nice change of pace and we are sure fans of the Hummer brand will enjoy it as well.
  • Lastly,  we have the ’69 Dodge Challenger 500 that is also from the “Then and Now” series. It mimics the look of the Charger Hellcat from the previous case, and the bronze and purple combo looks just as good on this casting.

Overall,  the Hot Wheels P Case gives a few things to look for without overloading us. Here are the cars to look for from an investment stand point.

  • The Datsun Wagon in its Super Variant will be a massive hit and though some listings are around $200 we expect the price to come down slightly.
  • The regular Treasure Hunt RAM Rebel will also be a good pick up. Its rarity and the desirability of this casting will help push its value. Expect these to sell for around $10
  • Cars like the Cadillac Seville and Dodge Viper will be sought after by fans and could have a small return on investment.

Hot Wheels 2023 N Case Review

The 2023 Hot Wheels N case has arrived and it’s time for a review! The first highlight we have is a Corvette C7 Z06 Convertible in a metallic bronze that is sure to get Chevy fans excited. Next, and sticking with the Chevy theme, we have a custom ’68 Camaro that loos like it’s straight out of Mad Max. The custom hood, front splitter, and headlights make the car ready for the post-apocalypse and we love it! Your Super for this case, and a car that is going to be on a lot of peoples’ lists is the Porsche 935. This car looks great and in Spectraflame it’ll be amazing! We expect this car to do well and potentially hit the $100 mark. Next up we have a ’89 Mazda Rx-7 that our JDM fans will enjoy. The car looks great and goes to show that sometimes less is more. It’s clean without going over the top. Finally, we have a Land Rover Defender decked out in all black which always looks good.

The rest of the N case has a few gems that aren’t just carried over from previous cases. The Bugatti Bolide comes in with a French Blue and Black paint scheme that make it very recognizable as part of the Bugatti brand. The Ford Bronco R is prepared to take on some dunes as Mattel did a great job making this car look Baja ready! Next up is a recolor of the Honda CR-X with multiple tones on blue. This car looks good and is definitely giving off 80’s vibes. Back to the off-road vibes, the Porsche 928S Safari has an awesome rally look that we don’t typically see from this brand. This change of pace works and the details help out too. From an abundance of decals to the spare tire visible through the back, this car really packs a punch. Finally we have a 2020 Dodge Challenger Hellcat that our Mopar fans will enjoy. The Purple paint looks good but I especially love the small details of the car. The gold Hellcat emblem on the side looks great for being on such a small car. Overall the Hot Wheels N case may not have as many new cars, but there’s a lot to be excited about!

From an investment stand point there’s a few cars to look for. The Porsche 935 in Super form is obviously a great find, but even in the normal mainline version this car is a good grab. The Mazda RX-7 and Honda CR-X are great as JDM fans will definitely be looking for these cars. The Land Rover Defender and Corvette C7 are great cars that fans of these cars will be on the hunt for. Finally, the regular Treasure Hunt VW Golf could have some potential though the toon’d version of cars can be hit or miss. The Porsche 935 will offer your best return on investment if you’re fortunate enough to find it hanging on the pegs. The CR-X, RX-7, Corvette, and Land Rover will be decent profit or good for trades later on when they disappear from shelves. The toon’d Golf is your Treasure Hunt so even if it wouldn’t normally move off shelves quickly its rarity will absolutely help this car out.

2023 Hot Wheels M Case Report

The 2023 Hot Wheels M case has arrived and we have a review for you! First up straight off the big screen is the 2024 Hummer EV featured in the Barbie movie. Like most fans of the film, we can’t get ‘Kenough’ of this casting so expect it to be difficult to find. Next up is an awesome new casting of a 73 Jeep J10. The car features a ton of chrome, but the addition of the chrome hubs on the back of this car make it stand out! The next car, and the one everyone will be searching for is the Mighty K. This car is your potential Super this time around and our case happened to have one. The Spectraflame Red on this car looks great and finding one on the pegs is sure to be a great surprise for some. Prices on this car have been steady at around $60-$70. Up next we have a Volvo XC40 that has an awesome forest tampo that makes the car stand out!

While the M case may lack new models the recolor of some old models help it out. The Remac Nevera looks outstanding and clean in white. The ’20 Toyota Tacoma also maintains this clean look in white but the pop of blue from the rims adds a bit of flavor that we enjoy. A very popular casting before, the ’89 Mercedes-Benz 560 AMG looks incredible in its new silver colorway. Another popular casting, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon looks mean in all black. Finally, who could be upset with a Black BMW ,and the new color of the i8 Roadster looks very good.

From the investment side the Mighty K is going to give you your best return if you can find it hanging on the pegs in its super variant. Other popular castings to hold on to will be the Mercedes 560, Challenger SRT Demon, which are very popular castings. Also, the Toyota Tacoma could fetch a few dollars from someone looking for a mini version of their daily driver.
