A few more New Models and some repaints have hit the shelves this month.  Here is a look at some of the newer releases.

2011 New Model #33 Nissan Skyline H/T 2000GT-X   –  I love this casting.  This is a look back at the history of racing and great automobiles.  Due to it’s unavailability in the US, the Skyline is one of those cars most people can only dream of.  I applaud Mattel’s efforts to bring us lesser-known cars from racing history.

2011 HW Performance Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 – This is a really cool off-road casting.  It began as a Jeep-like offroader and has morphed into the more highway-friendly FJ Cruiser of today.

Thrill Racers – Raceway ’11 Fire-Eater  – I love firetrucks, as does my 2 year-old and this is just a great casting.  It has great details, a great paint job, and the red-rimmed OH5 wheels really set it apart.  I would love to see an entire firetruck series by Hot Wheels in the future.

I finally got around to updating my Links page here at Hallsguide.  It has been a few years since it has been updated and many of the links are no longer active.  The online world of Hot Wheels and Hot Wheels websites has changed dramatically since Hallsguide first hit the web in 1998.

Matchbox price guides are live 1

After years of focusing on only Hot Wheels, Hallsguide has expanded into Matchbox as well.  Now, when you visit the Price Guides page, you have the option of viewing the Hot Wheels guides or the Matchbox guides.  Right now, the 2011 Matchbox series are the only series listed.  We will be working backwards from the current releases and adding previous years one at a time.

In addition to the Matchbox guides being added, you will notice that some of the older Redline price guides have been updated as well.  Keeping up with every Hot Wheels and Matchbox ever released is a huge task and always a work in progress.  If you see an area that is lacking that you have expertise in, please post on our forums and you will help Hallsguide stay updated.

We start with the Heat Fleet Series Custom ’77 Dodge Van.  It features gold 5 spokes, a gold base, matte black paint with flames.  This is one of the better looking mainlines to hit the shelves in a while.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next up, the third color variation of the 2011 New Model Dodge Challenger Drift Car.  After being released in both blue and red, you can now pick up a green version of the hottest American muscle car currently on the market.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The ’65 Ford Ranchero is one of the latest 2011 New Models to hit the shelves.  This pickup/muscle car was a precursor to the Ford Mustang and I’m betting we see more color options in the near future on this one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our last find is the ’68 Mercury Cougar from the HW Performance ’11 Series.  This one is bright red with Edelbrock tampos and red-rimmed OH5 wheels.
