Hot Wheels Car Culture HW Off-Road Series for 2025 is Coming Soon!

The Hot Wheels Car Culture HW Off-Road series is back for 2025 and it looks like it’s going to be another great one! This series features a mix of classic and modern off-road vehicles, all with the high level of detail and quality that we’ve come to expect from Hot Wheels Car Culture. Let’s take a closer look at the six vehicles in this series, including the elusive chase model.

1987 Toyota Pickup Truck

This classic Toyota pickup is a favorite among off-road enthusiasts, and it’s easy to see why. The truck is finished in red with silver Real Rider wheels, and it looks just like the real thing. I’m excited to see this casting back in the Car Culture line. I’ve always been a fan of the 1987 Toyota Pickup Truck. I remember seeing them all over the place when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s. Their recent resurgence in popularity could be tied to the nostalgia of Marty McFly’s 1985 Toyota from Back to the Future. They were just so cool and capable, and they still are today. This casting is always highly sought after by collectors.

Land Rover Defender 90

The Land Rover Defender is another iconic off-road vehicle, and this one is finished in a striking yellow with black Real Rider wheels and black accents. The Defender is known for its ruggedness and capability, and this Hot Wheels version is no exception. I’ve always loved the look of the Defender. It’s just so classic and timeless.

Subaru BRAT

The Subaru BRAT is a unique vehicle that was popular in the 1980s. This Hot Wheels version is finished in a light metalflake green with a dark green stripe down the side and rolls on silver Turbine Real Rider wheels. The BRAT was known for its quirky style and practicality, and this casting perfectly captures that.

2017 Ford F-150 Raptor

The Ford F-150 Raptor is a high-performance off-road truck that is known for its power and capability. This Hot Wheels version is finished in gold with green, silver, and black “Raptor” graphics on the side. It also has gold 10-spoke Real Rider wheels. The Raptor is a beast of a truck, and this Hot Wheels version does it justice. I’m a big fan of the Ford Raptor. It’s just such a powerful and capable truck.

2024 Toyota Land Cruiser

This is a new casting by Rob Matthes, and it’s a beauty! The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is finished in blue with a white top and black 10-spoke Real Rider wheels. The Land Cruiser is a luxurious and capable SUV, and this Hot Wheels version is sure to be a hit. I’m excited to see this new casting hit the pegs. The Land Cruiser has a long and storied history, and this new model looks like it will continue that tradition.

2024 Toyota Land Cruiser (Chase Model)

The chase model of the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is finished in black with black 10-spoke Real Rider wheels. This is sure to be a highly sought-after model by collectors. I’m always excited to see chase models. They’re always so cool and unique. I wonder what the production numbers will be on this one?

Overall, the Hot Wheels Car Culture HW Off-Road series for 2025 is a great mix of classic and modern off-road vehicles. All of the castings are highly detailed and well-made, and they’re sure to be a hit with collectors. I can’t wait to add these to my collection!

Hot Wheels Modern Classics Car Culture Set: A Closer Look

The Hot Wheels Car Culture line is back with another exciting set for 2024: Modern Classics! This is the fifth installment of the Modern Classics series since Car Culture was introduced, and it’s bringing some serious heat. We also saw a Modern Classics premium line back in 2008, which introduced the ’83 Chevy Silverado casting.  This Hot Wheels Modern Classics Car Culture set is available now on Amazon. Let’s dive into what this set has to offer.

The Lineup:

  • #1 – Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) Pandem: This casting is brand new to Hot Wheels and comes in white with Hot Wheels and Pandem graphics. The bronze Real Rider Modern 5 spoke wheels are a perfect complement to the car’s aggressive lines. The R32 Skyline GT-R, nicknamed “Godzilla”, was a legend on the streets and tracks of Japan. Its all-wheel-drive system and powerful 2.6L twin-turbocharged engine made it a force to be reckoned with.
  • #2 – 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II: This classic German sports sedan comes in ZAMAC with grey Real Rider Aero wheels. The 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II was a homologation special built so Mercedes could go racing in the DTM series. It featured a powerful 2.5L inline-four engine and aggressive aerodynamics.
  • #3 – Nissan SilEighty: Another new casting, this one is a real head-turner. The SilEighty is a popular modification in the tuner world, combining the front end of a Nissan Silvia S13 with the body of a 1988-1994 Nissan 180SX. This Hot Wheels version is blue with bronze Real Rider Euro wheels.
  • #4 – Nissan Skyline GT-R (BCNR33): This R33 Skyline GT-R comes in white with black Real Rider Modern 5 spoke wheels. While not as iconic as the R32, the R33 still boasts impressive performance and a cult following.
  • #5 – Subaru Forester STi: Finally, a Hot Wheels casting of the Forester STi! This new casting is blue with grey Real Rider Modern 10 spoke wheels. The Forester STi offered a unique blend of practicality and performance, with its turbocharged engine and rally-inspired all-wheel-drive system.

Chase Car:

  • #0 – Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) Pandem Chase: This blacked-out chase version of the R32 Pandem is already generating a lot of buzz. With black Real Rider Modern 5 spoke wheels, it’s an even meaner looking version of an already aggressive car. I’ve seen this one selling for $125 to $150 on the secondary market.

Trenton’s Take:

I’m really excited about this set. The R32 Skyline and the SilEighty are my personal favorites, but I’m also stoked to see the Subaru Forester STi finally get some love from Hot Wheels. I think this set has something for everyone, from JDM fans to European car enthusiasts. The variety of castings and the high-quality details make this a must-have for any Hot Wheels collector. I predict these will sell out fast, so grab them while you can!

Hot Wheels Team Transport Mix #1 for 2025 is Coming in Hot!

Get ready, collectors! Hot Wheels is dropping another wave of their popular Team Transport series, and Mix #1 for 2025 is packed with awesome pairings. This time around, we’re getting three distinct combos that cater to diverse tastes. You can check out the promo pics below to get a taste of what’s in store. I’m particularly excited about this release, and here’s why:

#74: Forest Green Jaguar Mk1 Hauled by a Silver 2023 Land Rover Defender 110

This set is a knockout! Not only are we getting the first-ever premium release of the Jaguar Mk1 casting in a sophisticated forest green, but it’s also being towed by a brand-new casting for Hot Wheels: the 2023 Land Rover Defender 110 in a sleek silver finish.

  • About the cars: The real-life Jaguar Mk1 was a luxury sports sedan produced from 1955 to 1959. Known for its graceful lines and powerful engine, it was a favorite among the British elite and even made appearances in some classic films. The modern Land Rover Defender 110, on the other hand, is a rugged off-road SUV, capable of tackling tough terrain while still offering a luxurious driving experience. Seeing these two icons of British automotive history together is a real treat.

#75: 1972 Toyota Corolla Levin and Sakura Sprinter – A JDM Dream Team

Calling all JDM enthusiasts! This set is pure fire. The 1972 Toyota Corolla Levin is a legend in the world of Japanese performance cars, and Hot Wheels has captured its iconic shape perfectly. What makes this set even cooler is the matching paint job: both the Levin and its Sakura Sprinter hauler sport a vibrant yellow with red and orange stripes along the lower body.

  • About the cars: The Levin was a high-performance variant of the Corolla, popular for its lightweight design and agile handling. It became a motorsports icon, dominating rally races and touring car championships. The Sakura Sprinter, while not a real-life vehicle, is likely inspired by Japanese car carriers of the era, often used to transport race cars to events.

#76: Silver Lamborghini Reventon Roadster with an All-Black Flipsider Hauler

For the supercar lovers out there, this set delivers the goods. The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster, a limited-production masterpiece, is recreated in stunning detail and finished in a striking silver. Its carrier? The menacing all-black Flipsider Hauler, ready to transport this beast in style.

  • About the cars: The real Reventon Roadster was a limited-edition supercar with only 15 units produced. Its design was inspired by the F-22 Raptor fighter jet, giving it an aggressive and angular look. With a 6.5L V12 engine, it could reach a top speed of over 205 mph. The Flipsider Hauler, like the Sakura Sprinter, is a Hot Wheels original, likely taking cues from real-life enclosed car transporters used for high-value vehicles.

I don’t know about you, but I’m already planning a trip to my local stores to hunt these down! Team Transport sets are always a highlight of any Hot Wheels collection, and this mix is shaping up to be one of the best yet. What are your thoughts on these upcoming releases? Which one are you most excited for? Let me know in the comments!
